News Crew & Geek Squad

Job Description News Crew:  Members of the Falcon Morning News Crew are expected to be at school at 7:20 every morning to get ready for our live broadcast. It is the morning crew’s responsibility to rehearse with the students that will be presenting the announcements that day to ensure that they know their lines and procedures during our broadcast.

Job Description Geek Squad: Members of the Falcon Geek Squad are expected to be at school at 7:20 every morning to assist teachers with any technology needs. Members will also meet in the afternoon from 2:45 until 3:00 to get News Crew equipment set up for the next morning and assist teachers with any afternoon technology needs.

Qualifications:

1. Must be Dependable: The school will be counting on you to be in the computer lab every day, first thing in the morning to broadcast or tech support.
2. Must be a Hard Worker: There is a lot to do in the mornings and you must be ready to work.
3. Must be a Leader: You need to be able to step up and make things happen.
4. Must be Creative: We need your ideas that are fun and educational.

This is a full year commitment. 12 students will be selected to participate for the entire year: 6 for News Crew & 6 for Geek Squad. The groups will switch after the Christmas break.

If chosen for News Crew/Geek Squad, you will not be able to be on Student Council or SWAT since both meet in the mornings.
