What does Robotics Club look like?  

 There will be 2 opportunities to participate in our Robotics Club this year. Read each option below to consider which you’d like to participate in.

FLL Challenge Team

Dates: October - January 

Times: Every Tuesday from 3:00-4:00pm

Grades: 5th Graders

Details: The students chosen to join the FLL Challenge Robotics Team will participate as a team in the First Lego League competitions for our school. This club will meet each week to build a robot and program the robot to complete tasks and earn points for their team. They will also come up with an innovative idea and prototype they will present to a panel of judges. This is a highly competitive and prestigious club. Only 10 students will be selected. The Area competition will take place on a Saturday towards the end of January. 

Battle Bots Team

Dates: February - March

Times: Every Tuesday from 3:00-4:00pm

Grades: 4th and 5th Graders

Details: The students chosen to join our Battle Bots Team will participate with other students as a team to custom build and remote control an EV3 robot to compete in our district level Battle Bots Competition that takes place in the month of March. There will be 20 students chosen for this opportunity.
