Welcome! I am a Reading Recovery Teacher and Reading Interventionist at Fairmont Elementary. I hold certifications as a reading specialist, classroom teacher, and ESL teacher. I have been in education for 19 years with a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Houston - Clearlake. Pretty early in my career I had the opportunity to be trained in Reading Recovery and have been blessed to continue that role for the last 15 years in DPISD. Teaching children to read and write is an absolute passion of mine.
