Principal’s Welcome

 

My name is Melissa McCroskey Fagan and I am the proud principal of Fairmont Elementary. My mother, Peaches McCroskey, helped oversee construction of this campus and was its first principal. I walked the hallways of this building as a child and was fortunate to receive my education in this building.

 

I began my career at Deepwater Elementary as a 3rd grade Math/Science teacher, and after 3 years I was able to move to be a teacher at Fairmont Elementary. I spent many happy years teaching 3rd grade Math/Science at Fairmont Elementary before moving to Dabbs Elementary to become their Assistant Principal for five years. In 2021, I received the opportunity to serve as the principal of Fairmont Elementary, and it has been the greatest honor and privilege of my life.

 

I look forward to serving your family and providing your children the same fond memories, wonderful educational opportunities, and strong foundation that I received here at Fairmont.
